Merry Christmas from Men’s Health Network:
Honoring Our Legacy, Renewing Our Mission
As families gather this Christmas season to celebrate love, reflection, and togetherness, all of us at Men’s Health Network want to pause and say one simple but heartfelt message:
Merry Christmas.
This season reminds us why men’s health matters so deeply. It matters because men are fathers reading bedtime stories, sons calling home, partners sharing quiet moments, brothers showing up, and grandfathers passing on wisdom. It matters because every man deserves the chance to be present for the people who love him through every stage of life.
As 2025 comes to a close, we reflect with gratitude on the progress made this year and the legacy that continues to guide our work forward. While we cannot wait for 2026 and all the great work we still have to accomplish, we are grateful for you, your contributions, and your help with making our mission happen and for progress to be made on behalf of men, boys, and their families.
A Year of Impact and Progress
This year, Men’s Health Network continued to expand its reach across communities, schools, churches, workplaces, and national platforms. Through education, awareness, partnerships, and advocacy, we helped move the conversation around men’s health forward in meaningful ways.
In 2025, MHN strengthened community outreach, particularly in underserved and minority communities, ensuring men had access to practical, culturally relevant health education. We expanded awareness efforts around prostate cancer, testicular cancer, mental health, and preventive care. We supported families, caregivers, and partners who want to help the men in their lives live longer and healthier lives.
At the national level, MHN played a key role in advancing men’s health policy, including our continued support for the Congressional Men’s Health Caucus and efforts to ensure men’s health remains a public health priority. These actions are about more than legislation. They are about saving lives through earlier detection, better access, and stronger prevention.
A Legacy That Changed the Men’s Health Movement
While we celebrate this year’s progress, Christmas is also a time to honor the legacy that makes today’s work possible.
Men’s Health Network is proud to be the organization that helped establish Men’s Health Month, Men’s Health Week, and International Men’s Health Week. These initiatives transformed how men’s health is discussed across the United States and around the world, creating space for education, screenings, and open conversations that were once rare or overlooked.
MHN also played a foundational role in shaping national and professional conversations through our leadership in men’s health advocacy. We supported and worked alongside leaders who helped establish the APHA Men’s Health Caucus, ensuring men’s health had a recognized place within the broader public health community.
These milestones are not just historical achievements. They are reminders that real change is possible when people commit to long-term vision, persistence, and empathy.
The Mission Is Not Done
As we celebrate Christmas, we do so with hope, but also with honesty.
Men are still dying too early, often from causes that are preventable. Heart disease, suicide, cancer, diabetes, and untreated mental health challenges continue to shorten lives and strain families. The Lifespan Gender Gap, where men die years earlier than women on average, remains one of the most urgent public health challenges we face.
Closing this gap is not about blame or biology. It is about access, awareness, education, early detection, and building a culture where men feel supported in taking care of their health.
Men deserve to be present for graduations, weddings, grandchildren, retirements, and the quiet everyday moments that define family life. When men live longer and healthier lives, families are stronger, communities are healthier, and future generations benefit.
A Season of Giving, A Year-Round Mission
Christmas reminds us that giving comes in many forms. It can be generosity, time, compassion, or advocacy. At Men’s Health Network, we believe that supporting men’s health is one of the most meaningful gifts you can give.
Your support helps us continue:
- Delivering life-saving education and resources to communities
- Expanding outreach in churches, schools, and community events
- Supporting national advocacy that improves prevention and access
- Empowering Ambassadors to bring men’s health education to local communities
- Sustaining a movement that has already changed the course of men’s health history
