QueenAfi (Ah'phee) is a native of Washington, DC, she attended DC public school, and graduated class of “93” at McKinley Technology High School. QueenAfi has earned a confirmed Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from American Intercontinental University, Hoffman, Illinois, and a confirmed master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from Capella University, Minneapolis, Minnesota.
In addition, QueenAfi is an independent mental health consultant and a forensic traumatology consultant, with a specialized focus on domestic violence and mental health. She is the talk show host for two internet podcasts. “The Abusers Side Education” and "The Brokenness to Boldness Survivor Stories," and to her excellent credit, she’s interviewed over 100
survivors (male and female). She is an accomplished moderator for community events, a renowned blogger, and a motivational speaker on the social issues of domestic violence and mental health.
Domestic Violence Wears Many Tags (DVWMT) is based in Southeast Washington, DC: QueenAfi founded Domestic Violence Wears Many Tags (DVWMT) in 2008 with the nickname "The School for Domestic Violence Education and Prevention Methods." DVWMT is a local non-profit serving as a concerted educational and resource center for helpless victims and abusers of domestic violence. DVWMT is on the personal mission of reversing the
familiar cycle and teaching pro-active methods of solution-focused ideas and effective prevention. DVWMT is dedicated to restoring and preserving a stable family environment through educational services and prevention methods.
