Clarence Ancar
A retired customs agent with the U.S. Customs and Border Protection, Clarence Ancar underwent triple coronary bypass surgery in March 1999, before even celebrating his 50th year of life. After his procedure, Mr. Ancar committed to making heart-healthy changes to his lifestyle. He adopted a lower-sodium diet and developed an exercise plan, which includes walking 2-3 miles per day. Now at the age of 65, Mr. Ancar attributes adopting a heart healthy lifestyle to enabling him to have a second career as a fraud inspection analyst for the U.S. Postal Inspection Service and to enjoying more years with his beloved wife in New Orleans.
