What’s New, Girls?

Here at Talking About Men’s Health, we often discuss men’s organs, conditions, and bodily functions. But because men are so fascinated by women’s bodies, we thought it would be fun to explore the latest discoveries in female anatomy.

  • Jean-Denis Rouillon, a researcher and sports science expert at France’s University of Besançon, must have one of the world’s best jobs: He’s spent the last 10 years measuring changes in the breasts of 330 women at the Centre Hospitalier Universitaire. What he discovered is going to surprise a lot of people. Turns out that all that business about how bras help support the breasts, relieve back pain, and prevent sagging may be completely wrong. In fact, Rouillon says that bras don’t do much to relieve back pain and over time, they may make breasts—wait for it—sag more than they otherwise would have. “Medically, physiologically, anatomically – breasts gain no benefit from being denied gravity,” said Rouillon in an interview with The Local, One of France’s English Language Newspapers. “On the contrary, they get saggier with a bra.” Rouillon claims that without a bra to support them, breasts would gain more tone and would support themselves. With a bra, however, those supportive tissues aren’t needed and they essentially atrophy. Overall, women who stopped wearing bras experienced a 7mm lift in their nipples each year they didn’t wear a bra.
  • She does what with her what? Russian gymnast Tatyana Kozhevnikova definitely holds the Guinness World Record for world’s strongest vagina. Yep, that’s right. Tatyana can lift a 30-pound kettlebell using nothing but her intimate muscles. She got the v-lifting bug after her child was born and her muscles got “unbelievably weak.” I know you’re aching to ask how she does it, so here goes: she inserts a specially outfitted wooden egg and grips it, then she attaches the weights, squeezes, and stands up, keeping the weights in place. Through her website, https://www.intimfitness.com/, Tatyana offers videos, manuals, and books in “Intimate Gymnastics,” and guaranteed to activate those muscles and strengthen the core. “It’s enough to exercise your vagina five minutes a day, ladies,” she said in a newspaper interview a few years ago, “and in just one week you’ll be able to give yourself and your man unforgettable pleasure in bed.”
  • Tittooing. No, that’s not a typo. Not satisfied with what Mother Nature gave them, some women have started tattooing their nipples to make them darker and more defined. Tittoos were first used to make post-mastectomy reconstructed breasts look more realistic. But now, women are getting tittoos so they can (in their words) go topless and not be embarrassed, or not feel self-conscious in changing rooms or in front of their partners. I guess we’ll never completely understand what goes on in women’s heads. But one thing is for sure: they must be doing this for themselves. When face-to-face with a naked breast, very few men are going to be critiquing the color of the nipples.
  • Bigger breasts? No surgery needed—it’s all in the head. A British psychologist and hypnotherapist says women can enlarge their breasts up to three cup sizes through hypnosis. In an interview with the British Newspaper the Daily Mail, Felix Economakis said that the mind is what keeps women’s breasts from growing. And for about $1,400 he says he can free women’s minds. “I can work directly with the mind. I speak to the part that controls hormones to encourage growth.”
