Creating More Kid-Friendly Space in That Bachelor Pad

With divorce rates remaining high in the United States, so does the number of single parents raising children in a co-parenting scenario. In an article on the Mr. Dad Blog (mrdad.com/blog), MHN advisor Armin Brott notes that a report issued by the US Census revealed: “An estimated 13.7 million parents [have] custody of 21.8 million children under 21 years of age while the other parent lived somewhere else.” The report went on to say that 26.3% of all children under age 21 live with only one parent while the other lived elsewhere. While mothers everywhere are often praised for their ability to create a child-friendly living space, single dads may find themselves struggling to strike a balance between a bachelor pad and a child-proof home.
