Denise A. Hines, Ph.D. is an internationally recognized expert in intimate partner violence against men. Over the past 20 years, she has directed several national and international studies aimed at understanding the relationships of men who are victims of partner violence, the health consequences of being in these relationships to both the men and their children, and the help-seeking experiences of male partner violence victims. She is an Associate Professor in the Department of Social Work in the College of Health and Human Services at George Mason University in Fairfax, VA.
